Our Drug Rehab in Salt Lake City has an outpatient rehab program that runs on both a general and intensive level of treatment care. This page is dedicated to informing you about what intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) is all about. According to ASAM guidelines IOP is ranked as a II.I level of intensity, meaning you must attend at a minimum of 9 hours per week.

All insurance companies follow the ASAM guideline, so if you were court ordered to attend a substance abuse treatment center and your assessment refers you to an outpatient rehab treatment center; you better plan on spending 3-5 days per week in the group room depending on the particular schedule offered at the time of intake.

Another important factor to consider is the length of each therapeutic group session. Granted, you can spread out your time through a combination of individual therapeutic counseling and family therapy on a weekly basis as well. The main point you need to understand is that you must attend IOP at a bare minimum of 9 hours per week.

Most all of our Utah Drug Rehab Outpatient Services operate Monday through Friday leaving you the weekends off to focus on your family and having some personal time to regroup for a new week.

You will want to truly maximize this weekly opportunity in re-charging your battery as IOP is not a "wham-bam-thank-you-mam" kind of experience. You really should plan on getting comfortable and getting open and honest.

IOP is an opportunity to explore your hidden true selves as well as to finally release your buried pain and feelings you have kept trapped deep inside for many years (often never revealing any of it with another human being except for the ones that were present when the situation occurred)!

While attending one of our drug and alcohol treatment centers, it is important to follow a few basic rules while under our treatment counsel. We would love to trust you, but simply never will trust your disease of addiction and therefore randomly require mandatory UA (urine analysis) samples on the spot which will be observed.

I truly do not know of any drug rehab with a good reputation that would do this otherwise. Substance abuse and alcoholism kills way too many for a rehab to just blindly trust their clientele!

Once you settle in and get to know your group it is our greatest passion and hope that you buy into the therapeutic alliance with not just your fellow group members, but also with your staff and some of the absolute best therapists in Utah. Salt Lake City Drug Rehab Centers wants you to feel at home and realize you are not alone! You do not have to face your demons in our closet without a true friend or family member by your side ever again.

However, this does not mean you get to hold us and everyone else hostage to your disease. Quite the contrary! You must have a sincere desire to want to get clean and equally be willing to do whatever it takes in the process. In other words, your best ideas will in fact kill you! Your best thinking is what got you to this webpage or court order from your judge, etc. It is time to surrender your will and let the professionals do what they know best which is to in fact save your life (Lord willing you allow them)!

During your time spent in IOP you can expect to receive a healthy balance of multiple treatment modalities such as: Group Therapy, Psycho-Education, Coping Skills, Daily Living skills, Recreational Therapy, Individual Therapy, Experiential Therapy and Family Therapy from our substance abuse and alcohol addiction specialists (Psychologist, Suboxone Doctors, Master Level Counselor, Mental Disorders Therapist, Nurses, etc.).
